The halls of North High were overflowing with liveliness on the third day of spirit week. Students were spotted around the school building dressed in attire similar to that of a country club, while others sported the halls dressed in western like style.
To represent the country club, some students dress in plaid tennis skirts and polo shirts, while those representing the country aspect of the theme wore cowboys hats and bandanas.
“I loved how today was a new and fun spirit day,” said senior Romina Ozari. “The themes are usually repetitive, but since it was new everyone was excited to participate and liked the idea.”
Along with the enjoyment of new themes, students were excited that they had options.
“I loved it because it was exciting and different,” said freshman Chloe Kamali. “I liked how I had multiple options of how to dress, and how there was a ‘versus’ aspect.”
The theme of this year’s Hallway Battle was color war and each grade level was assigned a different color to decorate their hall with. The seniors’ hallway was filled with elements of blue, the juniors furnished their hallway with green, the sophomores’ hall was brimming with red, and the freshman stocked their hallway with yellow.
After today, the seniors are leading with 50 points with the juniors on their tails at 40 points. In third place are the sophomores with 30 points, concluding with the freshman with 25 points. Spirit Week is not over just yet! Let’s see which grade will be the most prevalent throughout the rest of the week.
